Meet Belle! My cinnamon pearl pied cockatiel!

I’ll get the ball rolling by starting with my own parrot!  

This is Belle! I adopted her on February 26th 2012 from a local bird mart. Belle is my 7th parrot! She started off with the name “Ziggy” because I thought she was a boy, turned out I was definitely wrong! Once I found out she was a girl, I wanted to change her name but I couldn’t think of a great name! I looked over at her cage and she was playing with her favorite toy.. A giant bell! So of course that had to be her new name..

Belle is 8 months old and is currently going through the “teenager phase”.. Oh joy! Even when she is being rotten she is still the sweetest bird, she just tends to be a little nippy! She has the biggest cage and all the toys under the sun but she prefers to stay out with me. One of her favorite activities is helping me fold laundry… That is our designated “peek-a-boo” time! Belle’s favorite treats are her dried papaya treats and millet (of course)! One of her favorite out of cage activities is sitting on my fiance’s iPhone and “helping” him play games! She is a crazy bird and I wouldn’t trade her for anything! She will be getting a Lutino friend in the next few weeks! I’ll make sure to post a bio for her new friend when I go to pick him/her up!

Hello Parrot Lovers!

Let me start off by saying I am BEYOND excited to start this blogging adventure! I can’t wait to share tons of pictures and stories with you! This blog is going to be specifically about (you guessed it!) PARROTS! Every type of parrot out there will be featured and talked about on this blog. There will be contests, bird recipes, facts, questions and answers, pictures, videos, DIY bird toys, you name it! I want this blog to be a place where you can share your feather babies with the world! 

I would love for anyone who is new to this blog to inbox me pictures of your flock with name, age, gender, and story! Don’t be shy to add lots of info about your birds! We would all love to know how you adopted your baby and his or her favorite treats! Anything you would like to share about your flock is welcome! I will add your flock to the blog! If you do not have a flock yet but wish to have one someday, send your parrot wish list!
